What is Designing

Hi Everybody, this is some basic information of designing. I personally would say that it is including the writing the HTML/ CSS however if you get into the corporate world design is simply the design and not the HTML

There is a reasonably strong argument that it should simply be the design and not the markup as to be creative and make pleasing designs is a very different skill set to writing markup language or going further and programming an application that uses the markup as its user interface.... that said there are plenty of companies that employ both types of people and even more who are "jack of all trades" (you can make your own mind up on if they are masters of none, or all)

web designing includes designs, markup, web development (using php etc..), client side languages like Javascript , graphics using photoshop and illustrator ...

Some other person might specialise only in creating web applications while other only in creating page PSD layouts.

Tips About Web Designing

Hi , Hope you people like designing tips very much. But you have to wait for one day. Here i will give some points. It will be useful for non designers to learn about designing.

* size for pages is around 1024 pixel wide (some say 800 pixel wide), thats only because you either have a wide vertical content system or a double column system if its 800 pixel wide for the content.

* If you place information into a TABLE system use TBODY for control.

* You should use XHTML but if its not proffessional at least use html4.01 DTD system and do not forget to commit the declaration tag at the start of the page.

* control your link <a href= target= CSS styling for decoration, font size and the transportation action.

* FLASH is only for banners and .flv movies, don't blast everyones browsers to ...!!!....
with excess loading. Note: try to make menus by DHTML if you know how to, do not use FLASH.

* Try to keep the content style a system of two font sizes as much as possible with the main bulk of content or readable the default(BODY tag CSS declared size) size.

* to use HTML enities, do not place special URL ENCODED symbols in the text.

* with html4.01 be sure the HEAD tag has lang="en-US"(e.g.) attribut
